The first time I saw this design on Pinterest I thought, ‘I’d like to make that, or something similar’ and saved it. The second time I saw it I did a double take – it was on the cover of the latest issue of a beading magazine to which I subscribe. The universe was sending me a message – make this bracelet. So I did.
While Juanita Carlos’ design called for pearls, I decided to substitute polished faceted hematite beads for the pearls and paired them with transparent taupe seed beads. The result is a bracelet with a silvery sparkle from the hematite (a semi-precious gemstone that is actually closer to black in color) and a truly ethereal look due to the transparency of the glass seed beads. Measuring 7 and 5/8 inches in length and 1 and 1/2 inches wide, the bracelet is secured with a silver toned slide bar clasp. An accessory that will add sparkle to any outfit.
